Momma Blue’s Village is the passion project of Leila Blue. Leila has been working in education for over 20 years, starting as a Lead Teacher at an early childhood level. After four great years there, she moved on to teaching school-aged children, both in co-teaching classrooms and pullout specialist classes back when she lived in Washington D.C. But upon moving to North Carolina and having children of her own, Momma Blue decided to home educate them instead and it’s something she’s done for seven wonderful years now.
She is a Certified NC Early Care and Education Professional and an NC School Age Professional. She has also been certified as an In-Home Montessori Guide by The Prepared Montessorian. She is currently a student at The Center for Guided Montessori Studies pursuing an IMC Early Childhood Assistant Guide Certification. Momma Blue is committed to establishing practices and programs that will encourage the intellectual and emotional well-being of every student she meets.
Through her passion for home education, she has offered families a realistic look into life as a homeschooler. She has assisted several families with planning and starting their homeschool journeys. Momma Blue comes alongside families to provide them with personal attention and coaching as they pursue a successful homeschooling experience. With continuous guidance and follow-up, Momma Blue helps families understand that homeschooling is a viable alternative that may be chosen with ease, confidence, and success.
